Full Moon Sigil Crafting

As a Shamanic Practitioner and Healer I know what we all create through thought, writing, creativity and spoken word have an amazing amount of power. This energy affects not only those whom it is intended for but to every living being.

Therefore, everything I teach, everything I practice comes from light and love.

What is a sigil?

In ancient times, sigils were originally crafted as magical symbols used by practitioners. Please do your research if you wish to know more about the history. Sigils are more commonplace than you may realize as you will find them almost everywhere; essentially all logos are sigils.

Why craft one?

In my medicine, setting and manifesting intentions is part of my routine work. There are numerous ways to manifest intentions; crafting a sigil is one.

Why only monthly and on the full moon?

  • We could create sigils every day for every little thing, but why would we? My OB doctor made me, literally made me, eat ice cream every day for two weeks in my second pregnancy because I had gestational diabetes with my first child. Needless to say, ice cream has lost its appeal.

  • Creating a sigil is a ritual and should be honored as one.

  • One must have intention, set up a proper place and ambiance, be in the right frame of mind, have belief in the craft, and have the necessary supplies.

  • The full moon is a time of releasing what no longer serves you. The Universe does not like a vacuum so you should fill the space that has opened up with your intention or you will find the Universe has done it for you.

How to craft one?

  • What You Need:

    • Quiet Place

      • If creation doesn’t come easily to you, find a quiet place to focus.

    • Intentional Space

      • It’s nice to have items that support your intention or are important to you as you create, like a special pen, candle, paper, picture.

    • Supplies

      • The intention you want to manifest through the next four weeks.

        • There is an additional ritual you can perform at the new moon to modify this or enhance it.

        • The phrasing of your intention is crucial. Spend time on this.

          • Be complete, concise, and thorough.

          • Use present tense as if it is happening and use positive words.

      • You can keep it simple and have pen/pencil and paper.

      • You can make it an event by having pencil and scratch paper for the first draft.

        • Colored pencils and/or pens with special paper for the finished product.

      • You can create it on a tablet, but I recommend the hand to paper method. It allows energy to flow from source into your work more easily.

  • Crafting

    • Re-write your intention. (Remember to keep an original copy.)

    • Cross out the vowels.

    • Cross out all repeating consonants.

    • If you still have 11 or more letters, cross out Z’s, Q’s, Y’s.

    • Now, design the 10 or less letters you have until it resonates with you.

    • Place it in a circle.

  • Charging

    • Draw your sigil a second time. You will burn this one.

      • The original sigil you’ll keep with you for the month. Or you can choose to burn this one and keep the second.

    • Charge your sigil with your energy, focus on your intention, see it manifested.

  • Activation

    • The best activation practice is to burn in a fire-proof bowl.

    • Prior to burning, repeat your intention.

    • While the sigil is burning, it’s sending all the energy you’ve charged it with into the universe in order to manifest your intent.

  • Release the Outcome

    • Stop thinking about your desires.

    • Start thinking about the work you need to do to put yourself in position for the Universe to manifest your desire.

  • Lastly:

    • You still have to do the work. You will not become a bestselling author because of a sigil. You still have to write every day.
